I'm not sure what is causing that though perhaps the yeast infection did spread to the back as someone else had suggested. Please call your doctor and tell her of your newer symptoms. I wonder if, in the meantime, Preparation-H wipes can help the inflammation a bit. Prep-H is generally for hemmorhoids which can cause itching and irritation but the wipes (as opposed to the ointment) can be used more often since they have slightly different ingredients. Perhaps they can help you to feel more comfortable until talking to the dr.

It is definitely some kind of epithelial inflammation of sensitive skin, which is not guy related if he has been with you for two years. Sometimes internally your system is not working perfectly and outward signs like these can happen, like digestive problems, blood being above normal temperature due to internal heat from many reasons like less water, somewhat less than a balanced diet can do it too. Also, psychological factors like stress and depression can lead to this as well, as in inflammation of various parts of your body.

Trust me, I am a premed :-)

Your yeast infection has spread. You must have wiped it back there.
