Strong and independent women. I hate "clingy" girls who fall apart if they are not by your side and problems come their way.
This is I am sure very Freudian, but my mother was a single mom much of her life and nearly all of my childhood, so that is the reason. It is very attractive when girls tell me what they want, how they like it, and are not into playing games. Then I get more direct as well, and it is such a TURN ON! Then it is unstoppable attraction, as long as the looks and personality are there too.
For example, do not be afraid to call a guy, or ask him out. That is frigging HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Again, if you are different from the pack, you will get noticed, and that is everything in life.

Unfortunately looks are very important to a lot of people, its not totally their fault though it is partially natural instinct bred into us of millions of generations. Of course most of the time when we meet people it is in person so we see what they look like before we know anything else about them.
The things that attract me the most initially are the eyes and smile. After that though, they could have the best eyes and smile in the world but if they can't carry on an intelligent conversation its over. Similar interests help but aren't 100% necessary. A good sense of humor is always a plus too.

Hmm... as far as looks go, my only criteria is that your shorter than me (as i am only 5'5" and tall ppl give me the willies). Other than that, you have to be a sweet, funny, fun, and at least kinda intelligent.
