Once I shave it, with or against the grain, on my neck, it breaks out with at least 5-30 usually like 5-10 small ones stretching all around. Why, and what could I do to prevent this? I use a basic 3 blade razor.

I always use a tea tree oil facewash. I even add a blemish toner when I am done, and I think it has the alcohal also.

These aren't zits -- it sounds more like razor burn. You might try shaving AFTER you take a shower as the hot water will help loosen your pores and soften the hairs. Always use shaving cream (look for one for sensitive skin), and try an aftershave skin toner as well. You might also try moisturizing with a lotion after you shave too. You should always use a very sharp razor as well -- try using disposables for a while and always use a new one with each shave to see if that makes a difference.

I don't think it's pimples. It could be razor bumps. Those are very common. Try a different razor and shave cream for sensitive skin and don't shave against the hair.

I have the same problem, severity varies from time to time. I have found the following helpful:
1) using tea tree oil (few drops only in water) as a splash after saving. Works slowly over several day, but good as a preventive.
2) wiping down face and neck with isopropyl alcohol after saving, followed by good lotion (Eucerin; or house brand) recommended by dermatologist
3) when really bad, I wipe with isopropyl alcohol before as well as after shaving.

It's probably not zits, but razor burn. Are you using shaving cream? That can help, and also making sure that your skin and beard are soft before shaving (i.e., shave right after a shower).

dude its your razor, dont use razors with 3 blades or 4. leave the shaving cream on for 5 minutes before you shave. use disposable razors. dude, trust me. wait, dont use anything with oil because that will make it worse.
