I would find a small mechanic shop, not a national retailer like Midas and them for good honest used car dealers. Most new car lots have used cars that supposedly pass the lot's inspection. I've been pretty lucky with my car buying experience. My dad is a mechanic and told me where to go so I wouldn't get screwed. Good luck and happy shopping.

other than local dealers, classifieds, I would try eBay, there are over 10.000 vehicles for sale at almost any given time.
