femur -- possibly humerus

i must admit that i am a bit confused by the links. it seems to infer that the bones are 300 million year old human bones, which is of course quite impossible since humans and chimps only split a mere 3 million years ago or so. 300 million years ago would place it well before the jurassic period and well before most of the commonly known dinosaurs. did mammals even exist at that point in time?

based solely on the 2-dimensional pictures of the bone and my basic knowledge of veterinary comparative anatomy, i would guess that one bone is a section of femur, or humerus (as mentioned in the previous answer)
but the other bone appears to be flatter. but it doesn't appear to have broken edges either, so probably not one of the official "flat" bones. confusing. i would guess that it is a segment of ulna (?). those pictures really need a ruler next to them so the observer can judge size. without a good understanding of size it is extremely difficult to tell. of course, my knowledge is based on current skeletal morphology, and any evolutionary adaptation that might have occurred may have altered the flatness of a given bone.

by the size of the bone i would say it is a femur bone. the femur is the long bone in the leg, also the largest bone in the body. (thigh bone)

my guess is femur to. just due to its thickness. but it would help to know what creature it was from. cause if it was a very large creature then this could be a ulna or radias. my guess with femur is assuming its a humanish size creature.
