Yeah, you totally can. However, it would require strict dieting and lots and lots and lots of exercise. Did I mention LOTS of exercise?
You can start by cutting out soda, fast foods and candy out of your diet. Eat regularly: 6 small meals a day and make sure that each has a source of protein in it. Some sources of protein are: meat, chicken, nuts, milk, yogurt.... whatever you eat, make sure it's lean or low fat.
Exercise is a must...! Go running or play basketball - anything cardio for at least 20 minutes a day. Lifting weights is good also, but make sure it's light with lots of reps (since it's your goal to lose weight). Also make sure you do all the situps, crunches, leg lifts, etc.... to help you tighten your abs.
Results should be measured in INCHES not POUNDS!!! Even if you don't reach your target weight loss, you would have definitely lost a few inches! And that's a great achievement for anyone's body.
Lots of luck!!!!

Yes.
First - no starvation diets, purging, etc. They are very damaging to your health.
What you is -
* no sugary things (soft drinks, sweets, etc.)
* very little bread and other highly refined carbo-hydrates
* eat THREE times a day (breakfast is very important)
* breakfast should be more protein (eggs, etc.). The traditional cerials spike the blood sugar and cause storage of fat.
* lunch should be the main meal of the day. Good vege's (not potatoes or starchy items) and/or salads, a little meat, and a very little fat (your body does need some of these things). No mayonaise, gravy, etc. Tomato sauce is actually good.
* only have a small dinner, because afterwards most people are not active, so the energy is not used up.
* 30 minutes (more if you like) of medium exercise (walking, biking etc.). This should make you just start to puff, but not be out of breath. Best in the afternoon to use up that lunch.
Be disciplined, and you will do it. By the way, with this regime, you can eat as much vege's and salads as you want.

Yes, very easily and safely. First of all, try to cut out sweets from your diet, but if you do indulge occassionally, don't feel too bad. Make sure that everything you eat is as healthy as possible, such as eating wheat instead of white bread, and eating low fat or fat free foods when you can. Cut out most drinks except for water (and begin to drink more of it) and low fat milk. Instead of eating three big meals, break it up into 4 or 5 smaller meals, which will keep your metabolism up. Go to the grocery store and buy yummy, healthy snacks and meals, so that you will reach for the healthy foods when hungry, not junk. For snacks and small meals I love whole wheat pita with hummus, whole grain cereal with banana, almonds or cashews, a small salad, dried apricots, apples, carrots, raisins, yoghurt, or Kashi brand bars (both the GoLean bars and the TLC bars are great).
For exercise, you have many options, depending on your fitness ability, schedule, and what you like to do. Try to get either at least 30 minutes of exercise at least 5 times a week. Walking, jogging, swimming, pilates, yoga, weight lifting, or any other sports that you enjoy. Cardio (swimming, running, walking, etc.) is what burns the most calories, so make sure that you are doing it at least 3 times a week, preferably more. Weight lifting, yoga, pilates, and other strenght training exercises tone your muscles and make you leaner, so make sure you do it at least twice a week. If you find a diet and exercise regimen that you enjoy, you will not only lose weight, but you will look and feel amazing for prom! Enjoy!

The fastest way is to take the alkaline liquid diet.
Fats are nothing more than stored acid. If you continue to take acidic food, even with exercise you cannot get rid of fats. Therefore you must solve the weight problem at the source : eating acidic food. By taking alkaline food, you prevent the intake of acid to create more fats. Besides doing exercise, you must eat only alkaline food.
Read the book "pH miracle for weight loss". See photos of people losing weight at ease. If you want to loose weight super fast, there is an alkaline liquid diet. According the book, people are loosing 10 pounds or more within the first 8 days. Go to the website below to see which food (and even fruits) that are acidic.

Absolutely. Drinking water is the most important key, always drink a full 8 oz before you sit down to eat a meal. The water helps you fill you up so you don't eat as much. Furthermore, walk...I walked my dog 2-3 miles a day and lost 18 lbs in under a month. Try to limit your carbs(potatoes, pasta, bread) Don't over-exercise. Your body will ache and you'll give up. Find a friend to walk with you, the time and distance will pass by when your engaged in a good conversation.(Or walk my dog) And most importantly, enjoy your prom

Yes it is and that is a realistic goal. 5 lbs to start is a great amount for one months time. Walk, after school, up and down the street, and drink lots of water, and of course eat all of your meals. Eating well keeps your body from loosing muscle and keeps it from "back firing" and not loosing anything! Check your BMI (body mass index) on the internet to make sure your goal is realistic for your current size. If you're already small, don't looose more.

Yep. You can lose up to 2 lbs a week pretty easily. Just cut back on your carbs, and sugar. Eat more protein, and exercise at least an hour a day.
Stop drinking soda for the next month as well.

Stop eating white bread, anything with sugar-corn syrup, glucose, walk 30 minutes everyday-fast, eat a little bit of fat (nuts)30 minutes before a meal, eat more vegetables 2c and fruit l 1/2c, cut out oils that turn hard like butter, marg, bacon. Eat turkey instead of chic, ground round beef. You could do it if you cut sugar, and enriched flours!
