yes - actually i have - when i was an EMT - off duty one day i witnessed an accident - i was out with friends so i did not have my gear - so i took off my shirt and used it as a pressure dressing to stop the bleeding until the ambualnce got there (luckily i had on a bathing suit under that tshirt)

Absolutely.

I even put my hand in a woman's split open head to stop the bleeding-- and I had a big cut on my thumb and no gloves. I knew I was clean from viruses, but I didn't know about her.
I had to wait 6 months to be tested again-- clean still, thankfully.

I do all the time. I give it all to Goodwill when I'm done with it. It's always good to help the needy. You never know, I might be one of those needy one day.
