I may have a bad reel as soon as I put any tension on the line the spool won't spin. I tied the line on but I can't reel in the line at all. I have no idea what's wrong with it maybe I'm doing it wrong anyone out there that has a baitcast reel have problems like this? I'd appreciate the help.

this happens to me too.

just take a dab of super glue and stick the line to the back of the spool. regular glue works too.

i just use a regular clinch knot, with bass fishing you don't really have to worry about a bass ripping all your line off because they aren't a running fish, so you dont need any special knots.

ya i had to tie my new line to my baitcast reel all the time use the arbor knot. your problem must of been the wrong knot any regular knot would just stay put like yours but this knot stays tight around the reel so it dosnt just spinn around.
pull tight

look at the handle, if to the left of the handle there is a thing that looks like a deputy star thing then that is the drag. tighten it by turning it to the right. if that doesn't work, then srry
