im 18 and shes 16 and she's 5 days late, age aside...do you think her parents would make her stop seeing me even tho they know how much we love each other?
and...her mom was also pregnant when she was 16 and had to raise her daughter on her own because her bf left and i dont think she would want her daughter to go through the same thing, right?
if you were a parent would you make her stop seeing me or would you let her because it is my child too?

You seem like a stand up guy and of course the initial finding out is going to make them mad but it's your lives and as long as you are willing to do the right thing her parents cannot stop you from being involved with her and or if your child-it's your right as the father. As for them allowing you guys to see each other i personally would allow this because there would be no way i would give you the opportunity to just walk away and not be a part of what you started.Be strong and just explain your love for her and that even if they don't like it your going to be a man and be there b/c this is who you are and what you believe in!! Good luck!

I am 19 years old and have a daughter that is 10 months old right now. If I was that girls mom I would have a long conversation with you to see if you was going to be a good father and husband/boyfriend. I don't think that the mother should keep yuns from seeing each other. What has happened has happened and you can't take it back, you just have to make it good. It isn't statuatory rape or anything I don't think. Me and my boyfriend have a big age difference. We are going through something right now where we had this girl locked up for having sex with his son that was 11 at the time and the girl was 18. That I don't agree with. She hasn't went to trial yet, but she has a baby by this boy. She is like 20 now or something and he is now 14.

Keep in mind her Mom would have the right to have you arrested since she is only 16. Chances are they won't though for fear of alienating her daughter. There's a chance she would understand the situation better than other Mom's because of her own history BUT she's going to be very upset because she knows first hand what her daughter may face. If she understands how much her daughter's life was affected by the lack of her father she may see some value in having you around. Please - the situation is going to difficult no matter what - so be understanding of her point of view and give her time to process it. In time she very well might come around so hang in there and make sure she knows how you feel about her daughter and your child. Try to stay calm, both of you - and try to not get into any emotional scenes or screaming matches.
Good luck to both of you and take care!

Her parents are gonna freak, You are gonna have a world of crap to shovel through.
The best thing for you to do is no matter what comes you need to respect them and you are gonna have to prove you are going to be there for their daughter.
Make sure you are right there beside her when she has to tell her parents. Make your intentions very clear that you intend on staying around and supporting the child.
If you don't have a Job get one let them see that you are doing every thing you can to be responcible.
I am a parent, who had a child at sixteen, and this is my worst night mare. The fact that I know how hard it was on me makes it some thing I don't want for my daughter. I love my children each and every one of them I would do anything for them but I regret not having a life. I went from being a little girl who was just starting to figure out what I wanted to being a mother and a wife there was never a me. I am betting that is how her mother feels also so this is gonna bring up a whole lot of anger and hurt and resentment. I am very sure her mom has talked a lot about it in hopes to keep her daughter from going through the things she went through. I am still with the father 22 years later. But I tell you what my dad wanted to kill him. litterally. and it took him many years to gain my parents respect.
I lived many years of my life not being able to look my parents in the eye because I knew how much I hurt them and let them down.
I will pray for you and your girlfriend, I hope that if she is pregnant you step up to the plate and take care of her and your child.

god, why do kids do this to themselves? If she is PG you have no idea what you have gotten yourself into. You haven't even started to live life yet and now you will have the weight of the world on your shoulders. Why didn't you use birth control? If she isn't pregnant you need to count your lucky stars and get smart and use a condom. Or she needs to take the pill. This is nothing to play around with. Your life will never be the same and you're only 18! Such a shame! Even if you love her and you two are right for each other (unlikely at this age) you still would NEVER want to have kids this young.

I'd want the guy to do the right thing. The right thing isn't leaving. I'm sure her mom would be upset at first and may tell you not to come around. After all, this is her "baby" we are talking about.

if she is pregnent her parents are going to dislike you for a very long time, you pretty much just robbed her from her childhood.......... however it seems to me very doubtfull that if you want to support her and the baby and such that they would stop you
