i want to get rid of my recent opened files being listed on startup.. how to do that without always deleting them? i mean i dont want them to be listed at documents at startup..

Use one of the clean up tools

To clear recent Programs..
Right mouse click the Taskbar.
Click Properties.
Click Customize.
Click "Clear List"

To clear recent Documents opened....
Right mouse click the Taskbar.
Click Properties.
Click Customize.
Go to Advanced tab.
Clear "Clear List" under Recent documents

right click on start
select properties
click on Start Menu tab
select start menu- press Customize button
In General tab
select number of programs on start menu to zero
In Advanced tab, uncheck the box of List my recently opened documents
