First Person who inspired me is the Holly Propher Muhammad(PBUH). It is not due to that I am Muslim, but the fact is that it is the only personality in the world who impacted on the lives of human beings so quickly that no one could do that. Many great Empires of that time fell towrds Islam. He was a perfect personality, as you mentioned in the question he was so kind to his wives, his companions, even his oponents. There are many events when he forgave his enemies. His habits are neat and clean. His attitude was excellent. More we read about his life more we feels attraction towards him and he is one that I am inspired much.
The second person i am inspired is the famous Paksitani Cricketer Muhammad Yousaf(he was previously Yousaf Youhana). He converted to Islam 3 or 4 years ago. But he is approximately complete practicising muslim. After becoming muslim he has broken many records in cricket. He never missed his five times pray after embracing Islam. He is such a kind person that when I met him, I found him like the prvious days good muslims. He is down to earth. When He makes a century or achieves any thing during batting he bestowed his head on earth(sajidah). I am inspired by him.
3. The third one is my father. He was so kind to us that after the death of our mother he brought up, us like mother. He gave us the love of father and mother too. He sacrificed his life for us. Educate us, feed us, do everthing whatever he can do. He was also a local politician and did social work for locality. He was a complete fater. He was like a friend of me. I shared everything with him. He had ideally personally both by physically and by attitude. After his death, due to CA Stomach, in 2001, everthing has changed. I am much inspred by his love, his care, his tone, his intelligence, his commonsense, and everththing. May God place him in Jannah.

First would be my Savior, Jesus Christ. I've learned about humility, kindness, patience, and compassion by following His example as portrayed in Scripture. He is my role model and my best Friend.
The second would be my mom. She was a paraplegic divorcee who raised us kids to have respect for ourselves and others. She was a strong and funny woman who died of cancer, and I miss her very much.
And the third may sound a little funny, but my late search dog, Cody, was an inspiration to me, too. He died after a long illness in which he suffered more than I realized at the time. But he was loving and gentle, no matter how badly the vets hurt him, trying to find out what was wrong with him.
Those are the three "people" who taught me all the best things that I know about life and how to treat others.

What a great question:
There have been 3 men that have inspired me to be by best and encouraged me though rough and tough times.
My father he could have felt sorry for himself when he got ill but he rehabilitated and still works at 72. He is a godly anointed man and my inspiration.
My husband steadfast7 has been though hell being left back in high school 2X, being teased and taunted for the way he talked, and losing is daddy at 24 years of age. When life handed my steadfast lemons he made lemonade he has been a laborer for 23 years became a deacon on our church back home, serves in ministry and is a body builder and takes very good care of him He could have given up but he didn't
My former Pastor gave is 50 years of life in the ministry helping those who were lonely brokenhearted and handicapped and hurting. He died of liver problems He was the best man at my husbands and mines wedding and he also inspired us to go further in the ministry He was one of the most loving people God every created I miss him terribly and he has been gone 4 years now.
These are the people who I love and look up to because they did not give up but gave their best to become better and they will always have my respect for this reason.

First person is my career menor. He is the first person that believed in me and my potential when no one else did. because of him I too am a mentor. I now know the importance of approval and support
Second is Tyra Banks. She is strong and unappologetic of it. I have always been outspoken like her and as a kid, i was hated for it and everyone i know tried to suppress it because "women should be seen not heard" etc. I hated that aspect of myself and grew up very shy and timid, scared everytime i shared my opinion that people will hate me for being outspoken. Needless to say, i got to a point in my life where i got so depressed and decided that if i was going to continue to live, i had to be who i was. I love to see that i exist in a world where women like her and Oprah are very aware of their self worth and capacity to change the world and do not cower down and shutup when their beliefs are in the minority
Third person is one of my friends. We both encourage each other and support each other. It is amazingly conforting to know that there is one person that loves me and will always support me in my endeavors

My Grandma, she has always been there when i needed someone to comfort me. I will be sad when she passes on.
Jim Henson. From what I have heard Jim Henson was what a person should be. He also appreciated things that the popular culture shun, such as puppetry and old stories.
And last but not least my husband, who keeps trying to push me to better myself and reprogram myself, to think for myself. It's hard for me to do but I know I can do it, even if i am a grouch about it.

Thank you for sharing yours....it is inspiring.
Mine would be:
My family (sorry, I can't pick just one,) for everything they have done for me. This especially applies to my husband.
H.G. Wells. I have some sort of infatuation. I feel that if I was reincarnated, we are the same soul. (Hard to explain, and few will ever understand what I feel.)
One of my teachers. Will remain unnamed, although I made it a point to find her and tell her how much what she had done for me meant in my life.

My older sister has always inspired me for her sense of self, her intelligence, her independence, her unique sense of style and overall coolness!
My mother for being unusually caring towards animals (she's even a vegetarian) and for going beyond my expectations in helping me with schoolwork (making tons of note-cards) and in general for being there for me when I'm sick *and* healthy - she's always there for me.
And my great aunt for being worldly and loving opera, the arts, poetry, always walking every day of her life, being full of spirit and being so kind and generous to others.
(Fourth would be my father for being a hard worker and an awesome chef!)
Outside family: Richard Dawkins, Nick Gisburne (from youtube) and Sam Harris (in regards to this section).
