HOw long ago did you get the teeth pulled? because 6 needles on the top of your mouth could very well cause you to have a sore lump. One thing to know that will help ease the fear of cancer: when you find a lump, if it is sore than it is not cancerous, you just need to be concerned about the ones that do not hurt or are not sore. I am sure that if the lump was there when you got your teeth pulled the dentist would have seen it so more than likely it is from the needles.

yes, the local anesthetic can do that for a while, but not a long time. it could be a bone spur. they are common and generally don't cause problems.
Bone Spurs- What are They?
A bone spur can appear in any part of the body - including the KNEE, ELBOW, HIPS, SHOULDER, SPINE, NOSE, MOUTH, HEEL, FINGER, TOES, NECK, ETC. Regarding Plantar Fasciitis - Bone/heel spurs and plantar fasciitis seem to be ailments that go hand-in-hand. The main cause of the pain is usually the bone spur. Being very small in size, the bone spurs can be very hard to identify. But they are large enough to pinch at tiny nerves causing pain.

Sometimes your palat will swell from the anesthetic. If it doesn't go down by the next day, I'd call the dentist/oral surgeon that did your extractions for a post-op appointment.

Take a deep breath. It's most likely a mucous retention cyst. They are very common. You can read more about them at http://www.drkoop.com/ency/93/001639.html, but be sure to have a dentist look at it.

Most likely, some allergy! It'll go away, probably: anyway, good to have a check-up!
