For the past 6 months I have been in a relationship with a guy who is as close to a perfect boyfriend as any guy can be. But for no reason at all, I pick him apart in my mind and catch myself fantasizing about a dramatic break-up. Sometimes I even subject him to mild verbal abuse and he often tells me I act angry towards him. He is such a wonderful person and I would hate to hurt him. I don't think it's bad enough to the point where we have to break up, but what can I do to change? I feel like a terrible person and I want to give him the loving relationship he deserves. Also, it is my first relationship; would that have anything to do with it?

Being in your first relationship is always hard cause you've never had practice before and you never know what to expect. Teens can always be very dramatic no matter what the situation is and your probably just seeing other people who break up and cry and moan all day and secretly wonder if that will happen to you and if you'll get all the attention as well. It's nothing to be worried about I know me and my friends were like that too. It's the drama of school and other friends that puts those thoughts in your mind. But if you're confident and secure in your relationship than you shouldn't worry about it but if you're starting to have some doubts than deal with those and if you need to break up. It won't be the end of the world. There's lots of fish in the sea. Good luck

Ok stop for a moment the minute you subject someone to abuse it's time to re-evaluate whether you should stay in this relationship. He doesnt deserve that kind of treatment since I am already dealing with a friend who cheated on her boyfriend of 4 months during the first 2 1/2 months of the relationship. Please stop and seek some counseling.

You find yourself thinking about breaking up with him, not because you want to, but quite the contrary. You want to think about how much it will hurt when you lose him and makes you make sure to hold on to him tight.
