My dad and I were just discussing this. He was a cop In Philadelphia for 26 years and is 79. I know that even HE would have tried to step in and stop it. As a female, I might have tried to do something more than call 911, which I would have also done. It amazes both of us that men were standing around, backing away, and watching this go on. My dad's first question was, "Were they cops, too?!" Because, if they were, he believes that they should be charged with something and, at the very least, fired. He knows that a lot of people think that cops cover each other know matter what they do, but there's no way that my dad and any other good cop would cover this guy's butt!

I live in Chicago and about 10-12 years ago I worked for a small karaoke business as both a host and engineer, which meant I worked in lots of bars throughout the city. When I wasn't working, I would attend fellow hosts' shows. The bottom line is I've seen that kind of fight many times (along witih other kinds of fights and shenanigans) and I'm really surprised that the bartender didn't crack him one over the head with a bottle or two. I've learned from my karaoke days not to stop ANY kind of fight, especially a drunken one, no matter who's involved, unless you're as big as Lovie Smith and as mean as Brian Urlacher.

Yes, and I'm a women. I was amazed watching that clip on TV, guys sitting up to the bar and no one even tried to come to her rescue. Shame on them. This guy attacked her for a long time. Enough time, someone could have found something to thump him with. What a piece of crap he was, I hope they throw the book at him.

I stay interior the Chicago area. This video is ran back and back. every time I watch it, i think of i'm extra disillusioned with the folk you considered status there, observing this youthful girls get beat than i'm on the drunk doing it. You wager i might have achieved something.

I was a cop for 21 years and I'd have put the good old fashioned smackdown on him... That is totally ridiculous, I don't know what his trip was, but he doesn't deserve to tarnish the badge that so many of us wore with pride.

No, why would I want to be arrested for obstruction? Do you think the bartender would pay to get me out of jail? Lets see, a bar(Problem already), a police officer who is armed, and you think I should try to stop him? Yea, ok! You watch to many movies.

I would have tried, but would have probably gotten thumped on myself. But, my husband, a retired state police sergeant, would have been right in there and done his best to stop it.
