I just got all 4 pulled - only 1 was impacted. The initial pull is fairly smooth because of the medications they give you.

Afterwards its just dealing with watching your diet and mostly the bleeding/oozing. The pain is fairly mild afterwards as long as you keep medications up (2-4).

Make sure you follow instructions because you don't want to get dry socket from dislodging a blood clot.

Check out my source for more info.

Getting them pulled is no big deal. No pain whatsoever because you either have novacaine or are sleeping. I watched them pull mine out with the use of a mirror. They had to cut into my gums because I had three impacted wisdom teeth. Watching was cool but afterwards was hell. I was uncomfortable for the next week until they took out the stitches. They say there was some kind of pressure build up that was unusual. Hopefully yours won't be such a big deal.

They'll give you something to numb you, or they will knock you out to pull them. The pain afterwards is minimal, i would say a 4. The trick is to take care of your mouth afterwards, so that you don't get a "dry socket" (which is an infection in the hole that the tooth came from). That's not so much fun.

Absolutely painless.
But it really depends, on what the dentists uses to numb you, whether it is local, or the person totally knocks your *** out.
My molars were all coming in perpindicular to the rest of my teeth, so that was a problem.
I was knocked out though, so there was no pain.
After surgery wasn't bad either, it was really like I was buzzed kinda bad.. ahaha.
The only bad part was not being able to eat everything that I wanted.
Good luck dude, it isn't bad at all!

I had all mine pulled at once and all four were impacted. As long as you take the medicine as directed so you don't have time to start feeling the pain, you'll be fine. I don't think it was painful for me, just uncomfortable and I'm a big baby! You'll be fine.

Ive heard it can be a 10.....depends on how impacted or infected they might be. I had one that was impacting with the tooth in front of it. It was the most painful extraction i have ever had.....the good side was how good it felt once it was out. If they offer tylenol 3's or some eqivilant pain med take them up on it just in case. GOOD LUCK

It depends on the person. Mine was a 2 or 3. My sister's was much worse. Her entire jaw swelled up. Mine didn't and it was the exact same doctor that did both. Unfortunately, there is no real way to tell how yours will be. Good luck!

Today's dentistry makes almost any procedure just about pain free. You'll be nice and numb. Follow any directions they give you once they are out. You should be offered some pain medication, if not ask.

Getting mine removed on top was a breeze! I only had one on the bottom and I had room and it was healthy so I haven't had any problems. I think if you stick to the Doc's rules you'll be fine.
