They are friendly. They tend to be pretty healthy breed. They like to eat a lot, so you need to watch their intake or you will end up w a big obese dog.

They tend to be exceptionally hyper and high strung... and not very easy to train, tho. Pretty stubborn dogs.

There are pros and cons - I adopted a Weimaraner (Nike) from Weimaraner rescue about 8 years ago.

Nike's pros - loving, beautiful, friendly with all people, good with other dogs, very good with obedience commands, easy to groom, very clean.

Nike's cons - intense scavenger (will raid garbage and take food off table/counter-top - very smart sensing the moment you let your guard down), separation anxiety (he gets scared when left alone), chewer (loves to chew things like pens, the remote control, toiletries), very smart (yes this is a con... he can open our lever handled doors, cabinets, pantry, car windows, etc)

I have heard they can be aggressive (mine is not). Personally, I think they are a wonderful breed for experienced pet owners. I would not recommend them if you have not successfully raised an easier to train breed first.

My experience with Nike is that he is easy to train (come, sit, heal, etc) but very difficult in terms of breaking habits and eliminating destructive behavior (going after food / garbage & chewing).

They are definitely pretty dogs, I dont know much about the breed itself, but most of them that i have come into contact with have been VERY hyper, and spazzy. I personally dont care for them, not exactly a breed i would reccommend. Try the source down below, it had some pretty good info. hope this helps.
