MY FATHER never kept himself hidden from me...and then left me only a cryptic message telling me to love him and follow him, or he'd make me suffer forever.

In fact, my father never threatened me at all like that.

He had the courage to face me, not leave riddles for me to figure out and mess around with -- riddles that the rest of the family could never agree on...

He was always there. He always loved me no matter what I did.

I didn't even have to pretend that I "knew him". Or listen to other people tell me what he was about. Isn't that an amazing concept?

My father didn't do that either. I still call him every week, and he never fails to provide the advise I need.

*And yes, all you holy roller, non-comprehending people, I'm talking about my biological father.

Yeah but if he was your father and you loved him, wouldn't you want to know him and follow his ways? And if you knew him and listened to him more and the tools he left for you, wouldn't that make you better and who on earth could tell you about your father if you knew him and the story yourself? Having knowledge that he gave you life - and knows everything there is to know, do you listen with an open and receptive mind and know that he only had the best in mind for you? Your father does love you no matter what you did and do. Fathers don't leave a cryptic message - its our eyes and perception that is confused.

Honesty is lacking in relationships and a fathers love is an amazing thing. My poppy will be 73 in April and I love and adore him he is my angel from heaven that God sent to me he is a prizefighter and my inspiration and joy. He is not a prefect man he has made mistakes but He is a loving man and he lost his daddy very young. My Poppy has an amazing spirit and very joyful. I don't believe in thanking a person when they pass away I believe in thanking and loving people while they are alive. PS my dad had a very bad stroke in 2004 and it is a miracle he is here and doing as awesome as he is .

Why would you suffer? From the choices you make that defy God? The constant "Screw you!" attitude?

Sometimes "Stupidity" is overbearing....

Your sarcasm aside, you don't understand relationship with God. It's not hidden and He's not telling people to do what He wants or He'll punish you forever. He's telling you that your choices will determine where you end up and He wants you to be with Him. He doesn't want others to tell you what He says. He wants to tell you directly.

Did it hurt to have your brain washed like that? Have you drank the kool-aid yet?
