Has anyone worked at a Country Club before? What was your experience? Your job? How much did you get paid? Where you treated badly by the members?

I'm thinking about getting a job at a Country Club as a server in the dining hall and a member of the banquet staff for private parties.

I'm wondering how much money I will make. Do rich people tip well?

It'll depend on the area and the type of people there as well as on the other members of the staff and the management. Even then not all customers will be the same even some of the time.

You will make better tips than, say, at Applebee's. You will deal with more people who feel entitled but not any more who are trying to make you feel low.

In general you'll be treated as a member of the staff. Nothing good and nothing bad. You are there to do a job. Some will treat you like an equal, few will actually treat you as less then.

Just remember that your attitude will also define how they treat you. Assume no stereotypes apply, don't listen to gossip, and treat others with the same dignity and respect as you wish to be treated and, in pretty much any restaurant, you will be treated in kind.

My country club has extremely nice members and an even better staff.
Some of us tip well, some don't. You'll like it.
