No.
Just remember moderation in all that you do . . how you live . . eat a balanced diet, exercise, and do not do anything to excess. We are at risk most when we over indulge whether it be smoking, drinking, too much sugar, too much salt . . . it is when we over do it that causes the problems. Be moderate in everything . . and stay healthy and become aware of your own body. Do not ignore lumps or bumps and make sure you have a yearly physical.
Don't worry too much about all the 'causes' of cancer because no one knows exactly what causes one person to get cancer while another one does not. Far more interesting than whether a person might get cancer from monosodium glutamate are the fact that thousands of others will be unaffected by it. Why? If something causes cancer . . why don't all people get cancer from it than?

No, it has not been proven to cause cancer. It did cause bad effects in a study in mice. If you eat foods with MSG (which is in almost everything) be careful not to eat too much because of sodium.
