can persian people answer

i already know urdu. i heard persian is in the same language family as urdu/hindi.

I think it would be fairly easy for you to pick it up if you already speak urdu since they're in the same family.

Urdu has Persian words in it, if you can read Urdu that is written in Persian text, so Hindi is very close to Urdu and then Persian will be much easier.
Direct from Hindi to Persian is comparatively harder better you start through learning Urdu text then to Persian.

I guess you could learn it. BUT I don't know any Indians who know Persian so I can't tell you how long woud it take.
