If you love your aunt, just go. It won't hurt you & it will give her a nice memory of the both of you spending time together shopping (even if you don't buy anything). If you're that paranoid, take a small bottle of hand sanitizer, but most of all, it will make you feel better to know you made her happy!

That's a shallow thought about flea markets, don't you think?
Flea Markets aren't generally 'gross'. Most people have these thoughts that flea markets are run down little shops full of crappy items nobody would really want. That's not the case. Just because a place that sells goods isn't in some fancy pants mall or premium outlet store doesn't mean they don't have anything good. They're actually pretty good places to find some rare unique items and cheap too. I remember when my mother took me to one and I found some pretty cool stuff. Before judging this place, why don't you give it a chance? You never know what neat stuff could be there in the first place.

"Better?" Hmm. I don't know if this is so much a case of "suck it up," or "loosen up." Most of the world doesn't shop in air conditioned malls, you know.
So you're not into "funky" and you like your stuff polished - okay, that's a personal preference. Still, your aunt wants to take you somewhere. Do you like her? If so, this is a chance to get to know her better by doing something she likes to do. Try to find out what it is she likes about it and see it through her eyes. You might even enjoy it - if only because you'll get to know someone else better and see the world a new way. Enjoy her company.Nobody says you have to make a habit of flea markets after this, but this is kind of like visiting a synagogue with a Jewish friend although you aren't Jewish yourself - it does expose you to a different way of looking at things, and that can be good (and fun).

Do you really want to spend the rest of your life being a snob?? You don't know what is at the flea market and you already assume you are "a little better than that"..?? I think you should keep an open mind, go with your aunt and quit being so arrogant.

You've never been, how can you say you won't like it. There is a lot of very nice stuff, and even new stuff just and FYI at flea markets. A person really shouldn't judge something till they've tried it at least once. Besides your Aunt is just wanting to spend sometime with you, you should be grateful for that.

Go!! A flea market also sales brand new stuff too. Many corporations has marketers or paid people to sale their brand new items at discount there. You can find many things that you been looking for as well, and price is usually cheap!
The food is also great. Go to the flea and have a wonderful time. Trust me you'll see some great things there, especially if its a big flea market. I brought my brand new watch there and I love it!
God Bless

What do you mean "better than that?" Flea markets aren't that bad. You can find some pretty cool stuff and get them for really cheap prices. Even though fleat markets are a bit smelly. Don't suck up to your aunt, just suck it up and go.

There is nothing wrong with the flea market, there's some pretty cool stuff there...
Anyway, just be honest, tell her you don't feel comfortable going. She should be able to respect your feelings.

flea markets aren't really flea infested, you know. haha.
very few of the things are actually second hand. a lot of items are handmade, NOT USED. they're pretty fun. and I doubt you're above them unless you're literally above one like in a plane or 50 ft. tall. no one's better than a flea market, they're fun! ^_^
