It has been my experience that eliminating unnecessary movement "telegraphing" will make all of your techniques seem faster. the striking surface should be the very first thing to move. Not hips, shoulders knees etc. By not telegraphing your techniques your opponent will not have as much time to react. This will make you faster. Increase your flexibility and practice recoiling your techniques quickly like you are trying to snap water off of your wet leg. leaving a kick hanging out there after you throw it leaves you extremely vulnerable to counter attacks. Forget about jump kicks and make sure that your spin kick is very tight to avoid being jammed. A good technique to use to set up a spin kick is a step in jab or back fist. Study Bill Wallace and go to his seminars whenever you have the chance. These are fighting tips not forms tips. if you want to look faster in your Moo Duk Kwon forms stretch and do squats. good luck

we have to be able to do at least 3-4 kicks per second (minimum) and to train this we stretch consistently and practice our kicks SLOWLY. Practicing slowly helps to develop balance, co-ordination and an intimate knowledge of what your body goes through to perform.
When you do several hundred slow kicks easily then you should start to learn how to link kicks. This combination then allows you to blitz out kicks so fast that it leaves an opponent guessing where the next one is coming from.

Speed drills. Time your self for 1 minute and see how many kicks you can throw during that time. You should in that time do anywhere from 30 to 70, then your muscles will be too fatigued to kick without a rest. At least, that's what my Tae Kwon Do instructor (who took national gold in both sparring and forms) has us do.

Just keep practicing, make sure to do plenty of stretches and go for a jog, at least a few times a week.

Just because you don't want to hear it doesn't make it true. Squats and practicing your Horse, Forward, Back, and cat stances are all very beneficial to leg techniques.

I use leg weights and concentrate on my form. Do your kicks slowly and remember to stretch.
GalfromC has a good idea as well.

Stretching helps. Stiff joints don't lend themselves well to speed.
