A very good question which while even answering has failed to make people aware of the intended meaning.

Christianity, Islam etc are the brand names though in essence all the religions teach the same Truth that God is one and we should follow the path of Truth by love and non-violence. Fellow feeling and service oriented attitude are the corollaries.

But unfortunately due to the brand names we are class conscious and find the apparent difference as Christians and Muslims and.......etc. etc...

Hence, in the domain of faith the names are actually counter productive which has done more harm than any benefit except for collective identity to fight under different blocks against each other.

Hinduism or Sanatana Dharma does not insist on brand names. The word 'Hindu' is also given by the Persian Muslims to distinguish themselves from the people called Indians. Sanatana Dharma is not a brand name; it only means the eternal and universal principles that holds the entire mankind together.

Are you asking if a "denomination" or "sect" is required? I am a Christian. I also happen to be an ELCA Lutheran. The two are not always the same. You can always be either one without the other.

There are Catholics like that, Baptists, Hindus, Methodists, Mormons, Muslims, Taoists, Buddhists .... any other religious group you'd care to mention, even Jews, they all have those who claim the title but don't live the life.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. I'm a Christian, but we don't have brand names. We do have different branches of Christianity, I am a Catholic, but they are all based on the same belief that Jesus was the son of God and He died for us. I don't understand what you mean by brand names, but you can believe in God no matter what. as long as you do your best to serve Him, He will be pleased with you and stay with you throughout your life, if you let Him.

I am a Christian and I would like to identify my faith to be Christianity by my name and dress for security reasons due to a background in history when the Islamic community tried to preach Islam by invading the non-Muslim countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. Therefore, it has a legacy, though faith in God is purely an internal matter in Christianity.

My belief doesn't have a brand name. I was agnostic until I started reading the New Testament. Jesus' teachings showed me what a wonderful world we could have if we all followed this way of life. Peace, love, happiness, not judging others, forgiveness, patience, understanding. I have no label, but I do believe in all of this. In what I believe there is no hell. No eternal damnation. Peace, love, understanding.

I'm not sure what you mean. I am a Christian and I believe the claims of Jesus Christ, that there is no other way to the Father, than by Him.

I am a convert to Roman Catholicism.

If my religion had a slogan, it would probably be: "It keeps going and going and going. . ."
