Being mean just comes naturally to the greater majority of the worlds population...because most are selfish and self absorbed. In todays society, it's rare to come across someone polite.

Some people are just mean. They have issues. Usually it is involving insecurity. Secure people are not mean unless they have a legitimate reason to be.

i know some people seem mean but sometimes they are only making a joke because it really is funny, but other people are just plain rude and need to learn to grow. but seeing as you can identify it - you can rise above it :)

cause they just wanna start some sh!t. im only mean to those who are asking for it. you know people who ask really ignorant questions that involve sexism, racism, or just being plain insulting to others.

i have no idea, thats a really good question though! my husband is the one thats usually mean about things when i ask questions. its almost like he tries to make me feel stupid about it.

Usually because that's just the first thing that pops into their head. Like how people always come back with "Yeah, well your mom...."

Lack of respect and manners. Some people don't know how to be respectful and assertive so their inadequacies lead them to make inarticulate responses.
