She doesn't understand the words but she can understand the tone of your voice. Actions are better than words to cats, if you take care of her, she knows you love her.

Yes, I'm sure your cat understands. I know my cat has some pretty amazing intelligence because I will sometimes pretend to play attack him for fun and he will recognize this simply from the expression on my face! Furthermore, sometimes I will pretend to rub my head against his head like a cat would normally do with another cat and he will come up to me later and do exactly the same thing! My cat actually copies some of the things I do so I am sure they know how to read you and your feelings from some kind of instinct that they have that we do not have as humans. It's the same kind of instinct that animals have when an earthquake happens and certain animals somehow know how to head for the hills before a Tsunami strikes! It is pretty amazing!

I think that cats and dogs understand us when we talk to them. A cat knows that it is loved by the tone of your voice and the way you pet them. If you show them love and affection, they will do the same for you.

With out a doubt! Then again, catz are selfish by nature but you can overlook that, can't you! As long as you both enjoy it, who cares? You have to start being concerned when she ignores you.

But of course she understand that you love her if not, try to leave her with someone else and they don't even get close to them and usually hide.
