Okay, I was a ARMY wife for 4 years to a sgt. B4 I got married i was 4 pounds from joining myself but held my self back to be a wife. Now that I am single again and 25 years old I know i want to do what I originally planned in life to be a ARMY Officer! I would like to get in to ROTC at marshall uni in WV fall of 2007 and lose as much weight as possible till then in 5 mo. Do you have to fall in to the Tape test brackett as if you are at MEPS to join? And can i enlist in the Active Army after completing a 2 year programe? Im kinda looking at this for a jump start to my careere to make up for lost time of being married, how ever i did learn all the soldiering i could during that time!

You can enroll in ROTC classes without being committed to the Army. They are considered elective courses; but if you wish to get a scholarship or recieve a commission you must meet the standards. You don't have to go to MEPS to enroll, they'll handle most of it there at the ROTC unit on campus. Your best bet all around is to lose the weight and be in shape. Why would you want to enlist after completing the first 2 years of ROTC anyway? You may dual enroll, i.e. be a cadet and a member of a Reserve/National Guard unit simultaneously. Go see the cadre at Marshall and talk with them, they can give you the straight scoop on what you need to do and all your options. Good luck.

ROTC you might be able to do that but if you go to meps overweight you will be a no go. You dont have to be a officer to join the Army, I served with a guy that went in and then attended collage...the army paid for his degree and he was a E-6 with over 10 years in. Now he is a 2nd Lt.

WWE Wrestlers may well be heavy in a good, taut and toned way. Sumo Wrestlers may well be heavy in a fat, blubbery and wobbly way. So, a guy at 6ft with a huge physique weighing between a hundred and eighty-207lbs (not extra, no much less) is a heavy guy with out fat on him and the ideal weight for his top and skeletal physique, whilst a woman at 6ft with a huge physique weighing 158-179 lbs (not extra, no much less), may well be heavy with out fat however the ideal and healthful weight for her top and physique. in assessment to the 6ft lady with a huge physique, women who weigh 158-179lbs yet are shorter than 6ft, and females who're 6ft yet have the two a small, or medium physique might all be considered heavy and obese, of which a number of them may well be obese.
