That after 5 years a felony charge will be dropped if you are not caught?~in georgia~

IM JUST WONDERING k not saying anyone is gonna do it, but allot of people I know say that this is true but i dont think it is.

If a person is never charged ( no warrant issues) then each crime has a statue of limitation ( except murder) murder never runs out.

But the time varies from crime to crime, it will be from one year to 15 years in GA I beleive depending on the crime.

But if you were charged with the crime and a warrant was issued, then no the time never runs out and the warrant always stays active.

You need to check the statutes of limitations for certain cirmes in Georgia. All felonies do not have the same statute of limitations, and often they run to the time you are indicted - not caught.

Five years seems short for a felony of any kind though.

I think you are thinking of: a misdemeanor warrant will be void after 5 years if not served.

if you plan to commit a murder I highly doubt
havent you see stories in the news that people are now being
arrested for a murder they commited over 10 to 20 years ago?

only if you go back in front of a judge ( with an attorney) to get it expunged
