Just say hi and then start talking about whatever if he makes you laugh then say hey you're really funny...you make me laugh...I have a good time with you...I like you.
Then wait and see his reaction. He will probably blush and if he likes you back he may say he likes you too and you will have your answer.

A word of caution- Do not involve any of ur frnd in dis matter..
Be a sport and just approach him directly. Give him options like he can be a good frnd even if he is not willing to say yes.. This will encourage him to speak the truth. Tell him specifically what qualities do u like in him and why u want him to be with u. Express urself to the maximum as u may not get the second chance. Tell him how u feel when he is around and how u miss him when he is not around. Tell him that u like to see him smiling. Tell him that u love sharing every bit of ur life with him. Tell him how much u trust him and how safe and secure u feel when he is there with u..

life is too short to keep things pent up. It really is. Don't miss out ona chance that could have been great. The best way, really is to just take him aside and tell him straight forward.

it depends on how long you have been waiting. i say dont tell him right now, just wait a little bit, give little hints as you go along. dont start off strong, just little ones. then maybe tell him that you like someone, dont tell him right away, wait like around a week, and if he really wants to know tell him. but if it has gone on for too long then maybe just tell him
