For some reason, and I hope I'm wrong - it seems to be getting a little political - you have to have a good "network" of friends there to win anything. Any comments?

I have entered the contest and I have to somewhat aggree with you. It seems like if you are not as established as the other photographers then you dont stand a chance. Yea they have alot of entrys but if they dont have the time to lookat everone of them really well then they should limit the entrys.

I'm on there too Kelli, and you might be right. While i'm not a full time pro, i do shoot as part of my Part Time Gig as a Sportswriter/Podcaster, and i also shoot senics with my wife for us to sell at flea markets and stuff. now i know my pics are good, but i don't enter to win contests, just to see what everyone else is shooting, but it seems like if you don't take a class through them, you won't be a finalist or win...

I don't know about how political Betterphoto is, but I get their newsletters on a regular basis. They have a pretty good site.

They probably have a lot of entries in their contests, so not everyone will be a winner.
