We were in Key West over Thanksgiving and did the 'Ghost Tour.' It was hokey, but fun. One of the things they had us do was take two flash photos in rapid succession toward different 'hot spots.' ( this was at night) They would come back with these bright spots in them. With digital pictures, we could see it right away on the screen. The guide said they were pictures of spirit energy.

I figure they were reflections of everyone's flash hitting something in the air and bouncing off it. I've tried it in other situations- empty rooms, cemeteries, on the street....sometimes the spots are there sometimes they aren't

Shutterbugs- any ideas ot logical explanations?

It could be a couple things...I have done these tours many times (at least once a year) and have gone on "ghost" hunting trips. (Boyfriend not me). Anyway a lot of the time it is from dust on dirt in the air, it can also be a bug, and yes you are corrected with it being anothers flash. I do also agree that it could be something on your lens. The tour people will tell you it is a ghost but, if you emailed it to a ghost hunting group 99% of the time they will tell you it was something in the air. The really good groops do not like to use the "orbs, mist ect..." for energy they look for other things. Sorry but, I would just say that it was either man made or nature not something of the super natural.

Probably just something placed there to cause that affect. If they point to certain areas it's pre-planned. HOAX.

The woo-woo people refer to them as "orbs" or "spirit orbs."
I call them "someone needs to get the duster".
