Epstein Barr Virus - the virus responsible for Infectious Mononucleosis - is a notoriously nasty virus causing a long lived infection, but this usually clears up over a period of weeks on average. Cases have been known to last months.

It should almost certainly have been resolved by 3 years. You would only be able to pass it on if you have an ongoing active infection. You probably do not have an ongoing active infection and so should not be contagious.

nope. not unless you are currently infectious. after about 2 weeks you arent infectious anymore. your fine now, no worries. mono can come back, but youll know when it does.
