Hi everyone, my names Jazmine. I'm a 15 year old female, and i have this big problem. I am going through alot of "stress", as i like to call it, because i can't find another name for it. I ALWAYS seem to wake up in the morning ANGRY, and i don't know why. Any little thing ruins my day and i get cranky easily, i'll admit that. I'll even cry at times when i put all these little problems together. What should i do? I don't think i should go to the extreme and see a therapist, because for one, i don't want to worry my mom.

Everything will fall into place.

Remind yourself of that and even say those words to yourself everytime your feeling down.

A lot of people might say that what you are going through is normal, but if they do, try not to see that as down playing your problem. Your at a tough age in your life and everyone experiences that age differently so it would be hard to give constructive advice without knowing your full circumstances.

Getting more exersize, even if its just doin a 15 min walk around the block a couple of times throughout the week, can actually have enormous benefits on your outlook of life. It will clear your mind and lift your spirits. Set aside some time for yourself where you hire a whole heap of comedies and maybe even watch them with your mum. I recommend Adam Sandler movies.... you need to let yourself laugh.

We are all here for a reason darls, and even tho times may be tough now, you have your whole life to look forward to.

Hope this helps

That is known as teen angst. Trust me, when I was that age..everyone told me it was that and I kept telling them that it was more horrible than that. And boy, did it seem like it. It is normal but little things do get in the way a lot and it is the worst feeling anyone could ever have.
Yoga/Pilattes/Reading/Writing poetry/Hanging out with friends/Shopping all helped me.
If it seems to get even worst than that..you may want to consider seeing a doctor/psychiatrist. If you have an older sister or brother you can talk to them about it.
You really do need to ask your parents if any emotional disorders run in your family.
Good luck.

Don't assume that it's just teen angst or normal; if it is interfering with your normal routine, then it is likely more than that. Going to see a therapist is not an extreme, so many people do; BUT, if you don't want to do that, then go see a school counselor for a chat about it or call the Girls and Boystown national hotline to talk to someone. If it is affecting you so strongly, then don't just stuff it or try to brush it away, find someone to talk to.
Good Luck

well honestly that can just be normal part of teen life, but it could be something more severe - you can try some things to help like exercise to take your anger out, also try going to bed a little earlier according to a recent survey only 20% of teenagers get anough sleep and it can leave you feeling unbalanced, meditation can help with stress too - and you can see the counseller at school and if your mom asks just tell her you needed to get some time away from your classes and the counsellors office is a place you can go to relieve some school stress

You are 15 and this can be quite normal because of the hormone changes in your body while you are going through puberty. You should still talk to your mom about it, especially if you ever consider doing anything like killing yourself. Your mom and your doctor together will be able to help you best.

for one thing, don't think that it's a horrible thing to see a therapist. so, you need someone to talk to, that doesn't mean its a bad thing. does everything always seem to pile up and nothing seems to get done right? i have this sometimes. you're just at the age where you're very emotional and dramatic and little things become big deals. its okay, though. i'm 15, too and this happens sometimes. just know that you have someone to talk to!
