You don't have to fill every corner of a room, in fact to much stuff is the main thing that makes rooms seem small.

However, if you feel that it's to empty go with a tall plant or a tall vase with tall, thin dried plant material. Then put an up light on the floor behind it. When the lights on at night it will cast a cool shadow up into the room.

Also, I like the picture on the wall but it is a bit large for the area. I like the color of the walls.

A corner cupboard would look very nice in that spot. I had one with open shelving on top which is nice for displaying things, and it had two doors with shelves on the bottom, which was great for storing things.

Oh yes, and on the top of the cupboard, it's always nice to have plants, like philodendrons, or spider plants, both of which trail down.

Happy decorating!

How about a curio cabinet with some interesting Nick knacks in it? If you do a plant it should be real, fake is tacky. Go to Pier one imports, they have some cool stuff that would fit that area perfectly.

A floor plant would look nice over there or you can put that table over there or you can put a brown shelf with a nice picture frame and some candles

I recommend a potted ficus tree or some tall decorative candles with very chunky stems. Or even some ceramic pillars with potted plants or candles on them.

I think a fake tree would look nice in that corner. I have a fake tree in the corner of my living room with a shelf beside it. I have a collection of birds on the shelf and it looks nice.

I'd get a palm tree and set it in the corner. The picture is nice, but a little big for that corner.

get a citrus plant and place it in a large gold pot, this will go nicely with your color palate, and it will fill in that naked space.

these plants are durable and easy to care for
just water and snip off the leaves that are in your view! They also make a great air freshner and whichever plant you choose, you'll also recieve fresh fruit.

Remove that picture, improvement already. Hang a family portait that you can admire from you're easy chair. Or a nice tall plant to detract attention from your mustard colored walls....if you can't remember to water it, buy plastic.
