I am 42 tomorow and recently single. My boyfriend of 14 years left 3 months ago ( we have 2 kids.) My question is I have nobody to go out with, all my friends are married, so I end up going out by myself. Would you go out by yourself? I only go out when the kids are with their dad, every other weekend. He has them this weekend. I feel that I am very attractive, but sometimes when I go out by myself I feell like everyone is looking at me thinking why is she by herself is she desperate? I am thinking of going out tomorow night and have a drink and then go to a movie. I would like to meet someone. But do men talk to a woman alone at a bar? What do you think? I really don't want to go out alone on my birthday, but it is better to go out then to stay home. Don't you think?

Yes you should go out.
when I was single and went out by my self I always sat at the bar and talked to the bartender.
Introduce yourself to the bartender and they will be happy to introduce you to people at the bar. it doesn't matter if it is a couple waiting for a dinner table or a single guy or gal its conversation and its meeting people at some level. you never know who you might meet. Now I hope you get a good bartender because the good ones love to introduce their customers to each other. This frees them up to do more work behind the bar if it is a busy place and you should go to a pretty active place it will be more fun for you. o.k. now go back to the same restaurant in a couple of weeks and hopefully the same bartender is working and get to know them better, be a semi regular well a few times a month and you will be able to tell if there are any cute guys at this place for you. You will feel like you know some one there and it looks like you just stopped in for a few drinks and to say hi to the bartender. You dont need to stay home. go have some fun..
