Be careful with this one. Move slowly, be there for her, but do not try to move too fast, because you could unintentionally take advantage of her vulnerable feelings and state of mind. She likes you and that is a good thing, but she may be too scared to get too close to you. Give her some time, and just be yourself. Do not fall into the trap of trying to be like her old BF, because this will only cause problems for you.

You can be compassionate in the fact of her loss and show her you care about her feelings in this matter and that you really like her but remind her that that was them and this is you guys - you cannot have a relationship if is going to compare with "them" or cannot let go of "him".

Be a friend and let her express her feelings but do not let it consume your time together.....it takes time to get over some one regardless of what the departure type was.....

be a friend and if meant to be something more - will.

She will need a good friend for sure. I would take things slowly and be a strong support for her. She may feel guilty about being interested in someone else, so take your time and let her get back to normal. Be sensitive to her feelings. Good luck.

Don't date someone out of pity. If she's dating you off the rebound (which I'm very sorry to hear her ex died) then you should watch out. And death is a hard thing to get over.

Just start slow and fairly casual. Get to know each other better and see what develops.

Sometimes all someone needs is compassion.
