I'm going on a date w/ my boyfriend for the first time and he wants to see dead silence and i wanna see premonition, shouldn't he go see the movie, i wanna see just because i am the girl. Even though he doesn't wanna see my movie, he should see it anyway because he wants me happy right?!

Well I think you and your boyfriend should see a movie you both agree on(romantic or comedy).You should go see your own movies choices with your friends and it's not like your never ever going to see the movie because that is why they made DVD'S and Television!If you demand him are guilt him into seeing your movie that is just giving off the signal that you want to be the boss of everything and that just makes you and him move further apart until you have"the break up talk".You and your boyfriend should'nt break up over something stupid like a movie!

well i mean it all depends..since you 2 are not in agreement, then you 2 need to sit down and talk further about the topic. if you 2 can't find a movie that you both wanna see, then maybe going to the movies isn't the right date and maybe you should try something else.

That's true, but you should make him happy too. Try going to see his movie, and the next time see a movie you want to see. Just alternate.

Well, that's sorta an overrated thing. Yeah opening doors and stuff is left to the guy, but you both should be equal in relationship to get along well.
But, if that didn't convince you, when you get to the movies right before you buy the tickets act real sweet and grab his hand, bat your eye lashes, etc. and give him the puppy dog face and ask to see premenition :P

well, thats what a GOOD boyfriend would do, especially since its the first date. if you end up going to his movie, just make it seem like just 2 friends going out to a movie, not an actual date

in a perfect world.... perhaps... but he's probably feeling the same way. why cant we go to the movie i want?
i say make a compromise.... choose to go to either yours or his this weekend and go see the other next weekend! if you really want to impress him go see his this weekend and make him promise you to see yours next... he'll probably like to see that its not all about you you you.
besides... if you go to his scary movie, maybe it would be the perfect excuse to get some cuddling in?? lol good luck!
