Ever since i purchased my olympus camera in late january the problem i'm having is with the batteries. I can't seem to find the batteries that are right for it. I would put in a pair of batteries and in a few minutes it would be finished; i even puchase olympus batteries online but when i put them in the response that i got was that it was empty what must i do?

I'm just going to wager a guess, and say you have the SP-310, 320, or 350. I could be totally wrong, but regardless, almost all cameras that take AAs will use these. Anyway, I have the 310, and it eats batteries like crazy. What I usually have to do is buy what they call "CR-V3" batteries. They're one-time-use batteries (although they do make them in rechargeables, just not as commonly), and they run about $10 each usually, but they'll usually last me for several weeks. Of course, I'm not taking photos every day, but they last CONSIDERABLY longer than any other battery I've ever tried.

Also, if you're using Lithium batteries, go to Olympus' website and download an updated firmware for your camera, there's usually one that will fix problems with the camera reading the battery at a lower level than it should.

Since different cameras use/have different batteries, it's sort of hard to say. I would definitely either contact where you bought the camera or contact Olympus customer service and see what they say. One slight possibility is maybe some wiring is a little off between the battery connection and to the camera... I'm not sure, but I would definitely contact the store where you bought it or at least Olympus' Customer Service.

Take it back to the store and get another one, before the 90 days is up, or depending on store policy.

I bought a digital camera for xmas for my sister in law and she had the same thing. Took Canon about a month to fix the problem. She was going thru batteries real fast.

But take your camera back for a refund or exchange it. Now if you exchange it is it good for another 90 days for return or refund. All the stores are different. If not buy one, wait a week then return the bad one for a refund with the box and receipt for other camera, if anything.
