Wow I am soooo gald you asked this because I have resentally asked myself the same thing so I:
prayed about what I should do
then I looked around to see how I could help others
which lead me to yahoo answers and every day I am here trying to tell others about God eternal lave for us. God loves you andI hope you continue in your faith.

Reading the Bible
Going to church
Fellowship with others who are Christians
Getting involved in ministry
And using your spiritual gifts.
Being passionate about God even when times are tough.
Keep walking with Him and follow the Son.

I think that seeking God truly for your purpose in life makes you further your relationship with Jesus...
The reason why I say that is because when you get into utilizing yourself for Godly purposes, you can only fully utilize yourself when you are applying all of your gifts and talents...and the only way to do that is to seek God/Jesus...
When it comes to living out the purpose there are many details that only God can work out...that are much greater than our abilities...
Also, the more that you read the Word of God and develop your relationship with Him, it says it Psalms that "those who diligently seek God, His secrets will be revealed to them"...
Commune with God, and He will further the relationship naturally as well...

The best way to go further along the path with Jesus?
Help those who aren't as far along as you, who may be stumbling or wandeiing off the path.
As they "catch up", you will find that you are walking hand in hand with Him.

Um, what do you mean? You can "walk with Jesus" by simply praying as much as possible, especially to thank him for the abundance of your blessings.

Share your faith with more people. When Jesus asked us to share the Gospel and baptize people in His name, He was talking to all of His followers, not only to missionaries. : )
