This is a very good homemade granola to eat with yogurt. The honey makes it sweet, but not too sweet.

Homemade granola:

1 cup quick-cooking (not instant) rolled oats
1/2 cup sweetened, shredded coconut
1/2 cup sliced or slivered almonds
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons good honey

Toss the oats, coconut, almonds, oil, and honey together in a large bowl until they are completely combined. Pour onto a sheet pan and bake, stirring occasionally with a spatula, until the mixture turns a nice, even golden brown, about 20 minutes.

Remove the granola from the oven and allow to cool, stirring once.

Great tasting and nutritious breakfast. It’s perfect for when you are short of time but want to eat healthy. Make the recipe ahead and store the cereal in an air-tight container.

Granola Recipe
Preparation time: about 20 minutes. 10-12 servings.

Ingredients:
5 cups oats
1 cup bran
3/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup wheat flakes
1 cup toasted almonds
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup craisins

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
In a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients and set aside
In a small pan, heat the vegetable oil and honey over medium heat (DO NOT BOIL)
Remove from heat and add vanilla
Pour warm honey mixture over the dry ingredients, stir to coat
Grease a 9 X 13 inch baking pan
Pour granola into the pan and bake for 20 minutes or until toasted, stirring occasionally
Remove from oven and cool, stirring frequently to prevent sticking
Add the craisins
Serve with milk

Add yogurt or fresh fruit for a tasty, nutritious and quick breakfast!

You can have a difficult time discovering one of these granola bar however I recognise should you check out watching for natural and organic or all traditional bars you'll have bigger success. Fred Meyer has an excessively well natural and organic phase and in case you have ever heard of "Whole Foods," they promote not anything however natural and organic meals. I recognise that synthetic sweeteners do not style that pleasant and they don't seem to be truly healthful for you both. I recognise "top fructose corn syrup" is the worst in your wellness however sadly they placed it in such a lot the whole thing, even bread! I lately did a seek of granola bars of the equal quality you're watching for and discovered that the natural and organic phase in a Fred Meyer was once the fine location. I do not don't forget the identify despite the fact that in view that I purchased a rice crispy deal with alternatively. However I wish you discover what you're watching for! Mat
