My son has a syndrome. When he was born they said he would never talk and die early. Well they were completely wrong. He talks has a normal IQ and is actually quite smart. He has no health problems either and have been cleared by the doctors that he will have a normal life span. He does have the tendency to gain weight easier than other people but with lots of exercise and a very good diet he is normal height and weight. How does this happen within a syndrome - to be so normal? Has this ever happened to anyone else?

He has a rare genetic syndrome. A chromosomal abnormality on chromosome 15. He is 4 years old. He swims independently and rides a bike (with training wheels) and knows all things like he should - What is possible for him
