My son has a syndrome. When he was born they said he would never talk and die early. Well they were completely wrong. He talks has a normal IQ and is actually quite smart. He has no health problems either and have been cleared by the doctors that he will have a normal life span. He does have the tendency to gain weight easier than other people but with lots of exercise and a very good diet he is normal height and weight. How does this happen within a syndrome - to be so normal? Has this ever happened to anyone else?

You forgot to mention the syndrome. Was your son born premature, low birth weight.... any other abnormality that was identified? How old is your son now?

More information is needed.
thanks.
