Personally I feel that it is someone who actually understands what he wanted to do in his life. The meaning behind his life is what made him the 'son of God'.
If you understand and appreciate what drove him to live and die the way he did, there is no need to 'obey'
You simply become enlightened. People who are enlightened will find a purpose higher than themselves, and will do the right things.
A lot of the teaching of Christianity's religious sects worries me. For example the ritual of being baptized or born again does not enlighten, maybe for some, but so many are just going through the motions, trying to find acceptance. The same goes with all of the rituals and doctrines of so many other religions. So many people who originally had good intentions become hateful, vengeful, and judgmental. They can lose their higher purpose to serve the purpose of the religion, rather than humanity. I have a hard time believing this is what Jesus intended.

Jesus is the only one true Christian. No one obeys everything, they can't. That is why Jesus was forsaken, and died on the cross for all our sins. So that we would be forgiven for our sins and know God. 'If you have faith in Him only as big as a mustard seed, all things thru Him are possible' You don't have to believe every bit of the Bible, or obey Jesus totally (even though you should try) to be a true Christian. God is more forgiving than that!

A true Christian is a person who has put his or her faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ and fact that He died on the cross as payment for sins and rose again on the third day to obtain victory over death and to give eternal life to all who believe in Him. John 1:12 tells us: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” A true Christian is indeed a child of God, a part of God’s true family, and one who has been given new life in Christ. The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

Someone who obeys his teaching.
But to clarify, it is someone who through being born again loves to obey Jesus and sees no other life away from it.
This "obey" is not a legalistic "obey" it is a willing to turn away from the sinful world and love and obey your Lord Jesus Christ. To believe and not obey is impossible.
Christians are NOT sinless and are still sinful human beings that are totally depraved and were incapable of coming to our Lord without his divine calling upon their lives.
Jesus was not another prophet that was telling a story he is our Lord and died on the cross to save us from hell, the place where we all are deserving to go. Why does God not save everyone? Because know one actually deserves to be saved.
His wrath is kindled and God is not a peachy lovey dovy(sp?) God even though he can be. God is a hell fire and brimstone Lord. The fear of the Lord is in me and it is Holy fear. We are sinners in the hands of an angry God to quote from a sermon by one of the greatest preachers ever, Jonathan Edwards.

Matthew 7:21.
I John 2:3-4.
Acts 2:38.
Jesus commanded repentance. To repent is not to just say "God forgive me," but the word "repent" is from a Roman military word that means "about face." You have to make a conscious effort to do right, and not just on Sunday.

In my opinion you will want to obey Jesus for the relationship to God through him that we obtain. And we do not obey to obtain a relationship. Otherwise Grace is no more Grace.

Why ask if Jesus said, judge not lest ye be judged?
Are you in a position to believe any of us here can judge who is a real Christian?
