I have a male cat who loves to be petted with the foot. Some times he playfully bits it, or hangs on to your foot as it goes by him with his paws. He loves to be petted on the stomach and side. Even when it isn't a change of season, when he isn't shedding, he still loves it. SHould I keep petting him like that, or pet him with my hand even though he hates it?

We have two cats and one of them loves to be petted with our feet. He often grabs on and rabbit kicks our feet. We finally got smart and now we wear a shoe or slipper so we dont get clawed or bit. I don't see any reason why you cant pet a cat with your foot. It's not hurting them and they seem to love it! So keep on at it!

I see NOTHING wrong in petting him with your foot. I just wouldn't do it with a shoe on.

no is the short answer. no is the long answer. why? first...i assume your feet smells. would you like to be treated that way. it beats me why people choose pets and they treat them as "animals" and not as their best friends. treat your cat the way she/he deserves. good care. good hands. good habits. good habits. what is that stupidity you have to treat the animal as other animals would treat him/her. you are a human --have dignity. hope it helPS. ps. sorry for the harsh language ...i am a animal lover and since they can not speak for themselves...i chose....
