Theres only about 10 of us so that limits alot of what we can do (half guys/half girls) so anything creative doesn't work too well! We can't do donation jars or anything that involves the rest of our church cause they don't usually support our youth group, but anything else would be great! So far we have a few simple things like a carwash, bakesale, & yard sale planned, any other ideas like that??

Well I plum out of fundraising ideas, however consider approaching it that this could be a sponsorship that the monies donated will be tax-deductible....that would get a few people glad happy....well...for next years taxes, but still that is a way to boost sponsorship and thus raise the funds needed.

Why would a church not support its youth??? Wild.

Good luck, have fun and be safe!!

You could try selling candy, chips, or candles. When the weather is nice have a yard sale and/or car wash. If you get snow where you live, have the whole group split into groups and go shovel snow. Or you can put containers at different stores to raise money. You could also tag at different stores like the kids sports teams do. You could also join up with another youth group in your area to raise money, then both groups on the trip together. Try them all, you can use the extra money and maybe take two trips.

I offer fundraisers for these types of things. I'm a Purse Party consultant and basically your group would take catalog orders and I will donate 20% of your total sales to your organization!

I like the idea that one member had, that is to buy bulk candy at sam's club, turn around and sell it for profit. Also, if your church has a P.A. system(dj like set up) Dances always do well. Otherwise there are the more traditional ways, bag groceries for tips, bake sale, mow lawns, pancake breakfast/spaghetti dinners, walk dogs, car wash(fully clothed, shorts, etc. NOT BIKINI!!) Good luck!!

I just took 35 7th and 8th graders to Washington DC for the Right to Life March. We raised just shy of $7000 through a sub sale ( they sold 600 subs in 10 days!), two bake sales, a rock a thon that was also a lock in....and flat out asking for donations.

If you want pointers on a sub sale, email me! Our pastor couldn't believe we pulled it off!

Buy big packets of 30 bars of candy for about $11 and then sell each bar for a dollar and tell people that it is for your youth group. Bakesales are always good.

My church is small and so is the youth group. They've had car washes, sold candy, and had yard sales. I'm sorry if I can't be more creative. Ask your pastor for some ideas.

Pancake suppers
Spaghetti dinners
Yard clean ups (Ten kids can clean in 10 minutes for ten dollars)
Auctions work good combined with a meal.

you have a great start but i think its wrong that the rest of your church doesnt help you are church helps the youth group on a regular basis thier the one who have kids in the youth group they should always help u could try raffles or bingo nites and have local bizes or members of the other churches to donate prizes for the above mentioned games
