how do you convert pictures to jpeg format using an image editor?

go to file, save as, and rename the file as a jpeg.

The art program which I use is called "PhotoPlus4"... I believe all or most are similar.....

After messing with your image, click "Save As" on the top menu, a small pop up block should come up, wherein should have on it a toggle where you can choose an option "Save As Type".... Highlight the type of file you wish to save as and its location to be saved (file or folder), then click "Ok"

The new type will be (or should be saved) and the original should also still be available as well in its original format.
