Dogma, opinions, and preaching aside. Here are the facts.
1. There are no pills classified as "anti-depressants" that the FDA allows to be sold "over-the-counter" (without a prescription, like tylenol or benadryl).
2. To get an antidepressant in the United States, you need a physician's prescription (although New Mexico made it legal for psychologists - who are not physicians - to prescribe antidepressants, I don't think anyone has actually written a prescription).
If you are looking to treat depression without a physician:
3. St. John's Wort has a minor action like the serotonin antidepressants, but it can have drug interactions and is not good if you're pregnant (herb or natural doesn't always mean safe, afterall hemlock is an natural herb but it still killed Socrates).
4. Omega-3 oils, aka fish oils, have been shown to be quite helpful for several mental conditions, including depression, although it has not been advocated as sole treatment.
5. Make sure you have good nutrition, get your vitamins, for example birth control pills have been linked to depression via Vitamin B6 deficiency.
6. The best natural thing you can do on your own to alleviate depression is exercise. Hands down.
7. And lastly, research has shown talk therapy to be equally effective as an antidepressant at treating depression (but the two together are better).
Wal-Mart and Target now offer 3 good antidepressants for only $4 a prescription. A walk-in clinic doctor may be willing to give you a prescription. It can still be affordable. Good luck!

You would probably have to go outside of the country. But, people on antidepressants have lab work done first, and then periodically to make sure all is OK. Antidepressants can cause problems with other organs in the body such as the liver and/or kidneys. A physician monitors (or should) for possible side effects, physical as well as mental. The bottom line is that you should not take antidepressants unless you are under the supervision of a physician.

Your note is a real call for attention. We don't know if you are a teenager that needs help, or an adult that needs help. In any case, this question doesn't seem to be normal, and if you feel that you need anti depressants, that are a very serious things, then you need help. Try to talk to somebody. I hope you do, and I hope you don't get any of these pills by any means, other than a qualified doctor, if you need them at all.

Try SAM-E herbal over the counter. Also, you could use St. John's Wort, but be careful because it interacts with many prescription medications.
I would avoid buying any pills over the internet. There is no telling if they really are what they claim to be.

You will have to go to the doctor for this. They don't sell them over the counter. There are many different types, and only a doctor can pescribe the correct kind for you. It is nothing to be afraid of, the doctors are there to help us.

Anti depressants are prescription.
Except for St. John's Wort - which is a popular herbal remedy. You should look into it, I think it helped me.

You need to see a doctor for antidepressants. You risk your health if you get them from anywhere but thru your doctor, like on the net or thru a friend (illegally).

I don't think it's legal to just take medicine for something like that without a doctor's approval.
