>> What society is that?
I used to work with people from Taiwan years ago. Let me mention right here that they came here the LEGAL way. They worked very hard, saved money, sent quite a bit home to their parents and lived with very little in their homes. Just the necessities. Slowly but surely they were able to save enough to open their own businesses. Everywhere you look in the US there are "rags to riches" stories.

You have to be more specific. A good number of us don't live in such a society. A lot of people on the english yahoo answers are from US, Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, etc...
In the US you are given lots of opportunities - although some say otherwise. But the people that disagree are usually either lazy or busy feeling sorry for themselves. There are some with disabilities that aren't given the full amount of opportunities, but most healthy people are given lots of them.

Are you kidding? The US asks nothing of you. The flip side of that is, you are free to either pursue a successful life, or sit on your a.s.s. and fail, then suffer the consequences. You should only be taken care of as an infant, by your parents. It is not OUR job to make your opportunities. You would probably love a place like Sweden..... but maybe this country is just not a good fit for you.

What opportunities are you not getting? And what is everything this society is asking from you?
You sound like a left wing liberal looking for everything to be given to you. Don't worry though, if Hillary gets elected, you will.

I was born here. I traveled and lived all over the world during my 22 years in the navy. I like it here better than anywhere else. I would never, for instance, move illegally to Japan and complain about the way the Japanese refuse to accommodate me.

Good question. An example is how the government is so eager to tax "illegals" but they put all these barriers for them to get citizenship. Then on top of that they pin the nations problems on them.
If I remember correctly, Germany's problems were placed on a certain group a little over half a century ago.
