one of my best friends is having a huge guy problem. she was talking to this guy and they werent together but getting closer and he found out that she hooked up with another guy. now he says he needs his space to figure things out and he is talking to another girl. and he says if she ever wants a chance with him again that she better not hook up with any of his teammates or they are done for good. which she doesnt want because she likes him a lot, i think she is honestly in love. Problem is she really likes one of his teammates now, who also happens to be his roomate and friend. So she doesnt know if she should hook up with him, try to keep it on the low and potentially ruin her chances with the guy she may be in love with or should she just wait around for him, even though he may never be ready?? what should i tell her???

tell your friend that this is a heart's gamble. usually the way to win it is to follow your bliss.
i think it's sort of unfair for the guy to tell her that she better not hook up with any of his teammates or they are done for good.

you said that they were getting close. getting close isn't equal to a monogamous relationship. isn't that a bit unfair for your friend? they don't seem to be in any kind of commitment. perhaps they should clarify the status first, maybe become boyfriend or girlfriend before one tells the other whom not to hook up with and otherwise.

also, it depends if your friend is after the instant gratification. i don't see anything wrong with that. i may be in love with somebody but i should be miserable about it and since we aren't in a monogamous relationship the guy i may be in love with step up and be a man, make progressive changes and earn his right to say whom i should and shouldn't hook up with.

best! and your friend is lucky to have you.

DO NOT hook up with the friend/roommate. It will just cause more problems and drama. If she really loves this guy, she will be a little more patient.
