Take a section of hair and use a fine tooth comb and some hair spray. Back comb it - spray at the root to keep the height. Some bobby pins might help.

Back-comb or tease hair at the crown, smoothing with a brush before doing the ponytail.

Try bending over and pulling it up in a loose ponytail, when your head is upside down, it gives it a more relaxed look. And, Eduardo, your obviously a man, so don't answer questions about girls hair, because, most guys can't even fix their own, much less give a girl advise on how to fix her's !

Along with the teasing that most people answered, i also suggest using your hands/fingers to comb your hair and the crown... brushes flatten out your hair, use a comb/brush only at the back where you want your hair to be smooth.

Leaning over, brush all your hair upwards; then put a band around it, stand up and grab your hair, pulling it out both sides, and it should be quite puffy.

I wear my hair all the time with a "poof". Take clips, pins, etc. and clip them in your hair where you want the "poof" to stop. After this, spray some hairspray on top of your "poof" and the clips, pins, etc. SPRAY THE HAIRSPRAY GENTLY! Or else your poof will sink in! It's happened to me before! I looked like a mess! Well, GOOD LUCK!!
