Yes ,if the dentist completely examine your oral cavity and still there will be a small puncture or indentation on the surface of your tongue, specially if the piercing portion of the tongue ring is thick in size. In some cases tongue ring can cause gingival reccession on the surface of the lower anterior/front teeth and periodontitist in that area.

Yes, for several reasons:

1. If you did it recently, the hole would still be there.
2. If the hole healed up, there would be scar tissue visible (much like if you let an earring hole heal--the indentation is still present)
3. Tongue rings are notorious for knocking the enamel off of teeth and causing tooth decay from the metals in them that aren't meant to stay in the mouth for long periods of time. Any dentist could pick that up.

you're able to have the skill to after some years as long as you place it back in. I go away my cartilage piercings out for long classes of time and then ought to restretch them yet they're nonetheless there. or you are able to inspect an acrylic retainer for over evening if it is the steel reacting and inflicting the inflammation. yet confident, it is going to be effective because of the fact after some years the muscle (which your tongue is) has formed around it greater. If an answer right here does not assist you to call a piercing shop and ask them what to do. sturdy success!

Well, yeah if the hole is noticeable. If you have had the ring for a while, it WILL be noticeable. And it will take a while to heal. It may never go back to the way is was.

If you are afraid for someone or anyone to see your tongue ring and you feel as though you need to hide it.. then why on earth do you have it?.. personally I think that anyone who wants to punch a hole in their tongue needs to have your head examined... What is it, exactly, that a having a hole in your tongue does for you?.. what? make you sexy? make you special? make you proud? make you pretty? make you interesting?.. I will be willing to bet that you were pretty special when you were born.. and isn't it funny.. you weren't born with a pin sticking out of your tongue...
