most hair dye says to use clean dry hair. hope that helps. try reading the directions starting at the very begining where the allergy tests are. sometimes they like to hide it. lol

wow I'm surprized it usually says this on the instructions, w/ most hair dyes you use them on DRY hair that has not been recently washed

look on the box for a 1-800 # to call if you still
don't find any directions

sorry I can't be of more help

Apply to dry hair.

dry hair - the dye will wet your hair enough, it shouldn't be wet when you start to color it or else the dye won't hold

My wife does this sort of thing a lot and I just asked her, and she said dry.
